Elastic bands and pony tails can really damage hair. I wear a pony tail a lot when I’m hiking, exercising, and walking around town, so my hair was beginning to show damage. I got the damaged parts grown out and cut off and began using this silk covered scrunchie and it helps a lot! I have good hold for my heavy hair without the pulling and tearing damage of the elastic. It’s my new favorite way to put up a pony tail and messy bun.
